    Tile Installation

    We removed the existing ceramic tile and carpet as part of the client’s suite remodel and prepared the concrete slab for the new installation. Because the concrete had some existing cracks, we applied MAPEI Mapelastic CI Crack Isolation Membrane to help reduce the risk of crack transfer through the new tile. We then installed 12x24 Trinity Milos Calacatta porcelain tile using premium thinset mortar and a tile leveling system to minimize lippage and achieve a clean, even finish.

    What each write-up contains

    Every page here is one job we were paid to do. There is no stock photography on this site and no project written from a brochure: the photographs come off the crew's phones on site, and a page only exists once there is something real to put on it.

    Where and when
    The city, the neighbourhood where it helps, and the month the work finished. Never a street address: the work happens in somebody’s home or business, and that is theirs.
    What was underneath
    The substrate the crew found once the old floor came up, and the problem that had to be solved before any tile could be set. This is the part a photograph cannot show and the part that decides how a floor lasts.
    What went in
    The tile or plank by name and size, the setting materials, and any waterproofing or heating system, named rather than described. If you want the same thing in your own house, you can ask for it by name.
    How long it took
    The days on site and the approximate area, where we recorded them, so the scale of the job is legible instead of implied.
