Behind the tile, water finds every unsealed seam, flat pan, and skipped corner, and in Atlanta's humidity that turns into rot, mold, and stained ceilings in the room below. We build the waterproofing layer with RedGard, Schluter-Kerdi, or Wedi, set a proper pre-slope and slope-to-drain, seal curbs, benches, and niches, and flood test the pan before any tile is set.

Before any tile goes down, we flood test the pan and hold it to confirm the waterproofing actually holds water.

Cement backer board, uncoupling membrane, and the right thinset give the membrane a stable, crack-resistant base.

Our Process
On-Site Assessment
We inspect the shower framing, substrate, and drain, and check for signs of past water damage.
Substrate & Slope Prep
We set the pre-slope, install backer board or the membrane's board, and prep every plane and corner.
Membrane Installation
Liquid or sheet membrane goes on, with sealed seams, inside corners, and bonded flanges at the drain.
Curb, Bench & Niche Sealing
Curbs, benches, and niches are fully waterproofed and detailed so no seam is left exposed.
Flood Test & Cure
We flood test the finished pan, hold it, and confirm it holds before anything gets tiled.
Ready for Tile
With the waterproofing verified, the shower is ready for tile, thinset, and grout.
